Atleti che colpiscono i loro avversari, allenatori che si picchiano nei tornei per bambini, slammate con cattiveria contro finalizzazioni, atleti e allenatori che saltano le transenne per litigare o aggredire gli arbitri ... la lista potrebbe continuare all'infinito.
Proprio il mese scorso o giù di lì, ho visto una cintura marrone abbastanza nota dare un doppio dito medio al suo avversario / arbitro e dire a tutti "vaff.." dopo essere stato finalizzato in un torneo di BJJ di una federazione nordamericana... Un "combattente di MMA" voleva picchiare l'arbitro Jimmy Cerra lo scorso fine settimana per una sua decisione che non condivideva. Genitori beccati a falsificare certificati di nascita per far gareggiare i loro bambini in divisione più basse." Queste le amare considerazioni di Dan Lukehart.
Nel video un giovane atleta salta in guardia e l'altro lo slamma. L'incontro termina per squalifica. Queste sono le parole del suo coach Dan Lukehart: "Guardando questo video sono estremamente turbato. Sono turbato perché Richard, 8 anni, è stato slammato e messo KO. Io sono sconvolto dal fatto che non vi sia stata altra conseguenza che una semplice squalifica per questa azione che può causare un danno grave e permanente a qualsiasi atleta. Sono sconvolto per aver dovuto urlare all'arbitro di fermare l'incontro.
Leggo i commenti su Facebook. Questo sono gli stessi che insegnano ai nostri atleti e partecipano in questo sport. Essi sono liberi di partecipare alle nostre attività sportive e introdurre pericolosi pregiudizi personali nella nostra arte. Quando avvengono reati gravi, ci dovrebbero essere sanzioni contro queste persone. Ecco alcuni commenti :
Brian Grack, una cintura blu, dice: "Ho zero problemi con quello che è successo. Slammare dovrebbe essere legale per bambini e adulti. Sì, c'è una possibilità di un danno permanente, proprio come nella ginnastica."
Montgomery Diamond, "Nel judo e nel wrestling ...... siamo gettati sulle nostre teste TUTTO IL TEMPO ....... benvenuti nel nostro mondo."
Thomas Doyle, "E' da biasimare più l'istruttore del bambino, per non avergli insegnato a cadere correttamente".
Tim Calleja, una cintura marrone che ha ricevuto 20 likes per il suo commento, "è uno sport da combattimento ... devi accettare i rischi, anche se sei un bambino."
Derek Bohi "Non era uno slam, era un takedown duro."
Justin Roberts, "Personalmente non ho visto niente di sbagliato in questo ???"
Ce ne sono altre centinaia. Continuo a pensare, niente può essere fatto quando queste persone con mentalità pericolose competono nei tornei di BJJ, insegnano ai bambini e agli adulti, e glorificano il loro modo di pensare ????"
L'idea di avere a che fare con centinaia di persone con pericolosi pregiudizi personali nello sport del BJJ è frustrante, secondo me non ci sono soluzione per l'ignoranza e la stupidità dilagante.
Dan crede che qualcosa sia possibile fare per risolvere questi problemi e scrive: "Ho acquistato JiuJitsu.org e ha intenzione di fare un'organizzazione che fornirà un quadro di riferimento per far rispettare le squalifiche contro le infrazioni più gravi tra più organizzazioni."
Gli auguriamo buona fortuna, ma nel vecchio continente noi come siamo messi...?

Competitors striking their opponents, coaches getting in fist fights at kids tournaments, slamming out of submissions with malice, competitors and coaches jumping barriers to argue with or assault refs...the list goes on and on.
Just in the past month or so, I watched a fairly well known brown belt give a double middle finger to his opponent/ref telling everybody "$#^# you" after he was submitted at a North American Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation tournament...in front of my 12 year old student scouting out top prospects. A "MMA fighter" wanted to fight ref Jimmy Cerra last weekend for a call he didnt like. Parents get caught forging birth certificates so their kids can compete down a division".These are the bitter remarks of Dan Lukehart.
In this video, one competitor jumps guard and the other competitor slams ending the match in a DQ. These are the words of his coach Dan Lukehart: "Watching this video gets me extremely upset. I am upset Richard, age 8, was slammed and flash KOed. I am upset that there is no consequence other than a simple DQ for this action that can cause SERIOUS AND PERMANENT HARM to any competitor. I am upset I needed to yell to the ref (no personal attack intended) to stop the match.
Read the comments on Facebook. These are the ones who are teaching our athletes and participating in the sport. They are freely able to partake in our activity and introduce dangerous personal biases into our art. When severe offenses take place, there need to be sanctions against these people. Here is a sample:

Thomas Doyle, "Signed a waver...(I) see more fault in the kids instructor for not teaching him how to properly break fall"
Tim Calleja, a brown belt who received 20 likes for his comment, “combat sport...You have to accept the risks even as a child.”
Derek Bohi “That wasn't a slam, that was a hard takedown.”
Justin Roberts, "Personally I didn't see anything wrong at all???"
There are HUNDREDS more. Still think nothing needs to be done when these people with dangerous mindsets compete at BJJ tournaments, teach kids and adults, and glorify their way of thinking????"
The idea of having to deal with hundreds of people with dangerous personal biases in the sport of bjj it is frustrating; in my opinion there are no solution for ignorance and rampant stupidity.
Dan believe that something is possible to do to solve these problems and said: "I have purchased JiuJitsu.org and intend on making it an organization that will provide a framework for enforcing suspensions against more serious infractions across multiple organizations."
We wish him good luck but in the old continent where we are?
